# HD Hyundai Heavy Industries **HD Hyundai Heavy Industries** is the shipbuilding arm of South Korea's HD Hyundai group and one of the world's largest shipbuilders. In November 2025 it partnered with [[Anduril]] to build autonomous surface vessels for the [[United States Navy]] under the Modular Attack Surface Craft (MASC) program — Hyundai supplies the hulls and production scale, Anduril the autonomy and mission systems. The first prototype is being built in Korea before production moves to the U.S. See [[Anduril MASC Autonomous Warship Program]]. The arrangement fits a recurring Anduril pattern of pairing its software/autonomy stack with an allied heavy-industry manufacturer — the same structure as the Australian [[Anduril Ghost Shark]] program. ## See Also - [[Anduril]] - [[Anduril MASC Autonomous Warship Program]] - [[United States Navy]]
