# Fortem Technologies
Utah-based counter-drone company, best known for radar-plus-interceptor systems that physically capture hostile drones rather than jamming them — a kinetic approach to [[Counter-UAS]] that works where electronic warfare is legally or operationally constrained.
Fortem won a track-one position on the August 2026 [[DHS $1.5B Counter-UAS IDIQ Award]], the hardware and software track.
The company is a useful marker of how wide the counter-drone field actually is. The vault's defense-tech coverage centers on a handful of large venture-backed names, but the DHS award went to twelve firms, most of them specialists rather than platforms — evidence that counter-UAS has not consolidated the way autonomous systems or defense data analytics have.
> Status: stub — expand with the interceptor product line, funding history, and any FAA or DHS authorization fights.
