# Cove Strategies Lobbying firm founded in 2009 by [[Matt Schlapp]], who left [[Koch Industries]] that year and lobbied for Koch Companies Public Sector through 2010 (Washington Times, 2014). Schlapp was still its founding partner when he was elected ACU chairman in 2014, and Wikipedia describes the firm as having strong ties to the Trump administration, with reported earnings above $2.3 million in 2020. Its best-known engagement is Schlapp's reported $750,000 fee to lobby for a pardon for Parker "Pete" Petit in the final weeks of the first Trump term (see [[Matt Schlapp]]).
