# Colombier SPACs The **Colombier SPACs** are three blank-check companies run by [[Omeed Malik]] as chairman and CEO. They are the public-market arm of his "patriotic capitalism" project. The first took [[PublicSquare]] public in 2023 and the second took [[GrabAGun]] public in 2025. The third raised $299 million in February 2026 and, as of October 2026, has not announced a target. Its board includes [[Donald Trump Jr.]], [[Laura Ingraham]], [[Chamath Palihapitiya]] and [[Blake Masters]]. See [[SPACs]] for how the structure works. ## The series | | Colombier I | Colombier II | [[Colombier Acquisition Corp. III]] | |---|---|---|---| | IPO | June 8, 2021, NYSE | November 20, 2023, NYSE | February 3, 2026, NYSE | | Trust | $172.5M with over-allotment | $170M with over-allotment | **$299M** with over-allotment ($302.2M by August 2026) | | Sponsor | SuRo Capital plus principals of [[Farvahar Partners]] and Torch Capital | Colombier Sponsor II | Colombier Sponsor III LLC, managed by Malik's Knights Court LLC | | Stated focus | Any industry | "Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Growth" | Companies funding "the next chapter of American Exceptionalism" | | Directors | Ryan Kavanaugh, Eddie Kim, Jonathan Keidan, Keri Findley, Claire Councill | [[Chris Buskirk]], Candice Willoughby, Michael Seifert (PublicSquare's founder), Ryan Kavanaugh | **Donald Trump Jr., Chamath Palihapitiya, Laura Ingraham, Blake Masters**, plus Buskirk and Willoughby (8-K, February 2026) | | Merger | [[PublicSquare]], closed July 19, 2023 | [[GrabAGun]], closed July 15, 2025 | None announced; deadline February 5, 2028, extendable to May 5, 2028 | | Redemptions | About 83%; about $34.9M stayed in | Almost none | — | Joe Voboril of Farvahar has been CFO of all three. Andrew Nasser and Jordan Cohen joined the officer team from Colombier II onward. ## How shareholders fared Colombier III's own October 2025 prospectus listed what happened to the first two deals: - [[PublicSquare]] closed at **$2.06** after peaking at **$29.80**. - [[GrabAGun]] closed at **$4.56** after peaking at **$17.24**. Axios, covering the third offering, noted that PublicSquare was trading "below a buck" and GrabAGun around $3. It pointed out that in this structure the sponsor and early investors can come out ahead while people who buy after the merger take the losses. No reporting has put a number on the sponsors' profit. ## Why the third one matters Full detail, including the sponsor's economics and a development log, is at [[Colombier Acquisition Corp. III]]. Colombier III's board brings together several of the right's money and media networks in one entity: - the president's son ([[Donald Trump Jr.]]), - the most prominent SPAC promoter of the 2020–21 boom ([[Chamath Palihapitiya]]), - a Fox News host ([[Laura Ingraham]]), - and a Thiel-network politician ([[Blake Masters]]). It holds about $300 million and can merge with any company it chooses. If its target depends on federal policy (defense, energy, AI and fintech are the sectors trackers expect), the conflicts already documented at [[1789 Capital]] would repeat inside a publicly traded company. ## See Also - [[Omeed Malik]] · [[Farvahar Partners]] · [[1789 Capital]] - [[PublicSquare]] · [[GrabAGun]] · [[Colombier Acquisition Corp.
