# CACI International
One of the large publicly traded federal IT and intelligence-services primes (NYSE: CACI), headquartered in Northern Virginia. CACI's business is the unglamorous middle of the national-security state: systems integration, signals and electronic warfare work, network operations, and analyst staffing for the [[Department of Defense]] and the intelligence community.
It won a track-one position on the August 2026 [[DHS $1.5B Counter-UAS IDIQ Award]] — the hardware and software track that [[Anduril]] was excluded from and is protesting.
CACI matters to the KB as a control group. The vault documents venture-backed defense tech at length — [[Palantir]], [[Anduril]], the [[Defense Tech as Asset Class]] thesis — but the incumbent primes it is supposedly displacing keep winning. Reading the new entrants without the incumbents produces a distorted picture of how much has actually changed.
> Status: stub — expand with the Abu Ghraib interrogator contracts, the acquisition history, and revenue concentration by agency.
