# Burke Law Group
**Burke Law Group** is a small Houston, Texas law firm whose stated practice is advising "companies on complex environmental, regulatory, and enforcement matters." It is named for co-founder [[Marcella Burke]], who served in the first Trump administration as a lawyer at the [[EPA]] and the [[Department of the Interior]].
In August 2026 the firm was named the intended recipient of a **$150 million single-source cooperative agreement** from the [[Department of Health and Human Services]] to provide legal orientation, consultation, and attorney-of-record representation for unaccompanied migrant children in federal custody — a contract awarded without competitive bidding, and without a published justification for bypassing competition. Reporting noted that of the firm's roughly 24 attorneys, **two** specialize in immigration and asylum work.
