On December 12, 2025 the [[OCC]] approved its conversion from a South Dakota trust company into **BitGo Bank & Trust, N.A.**, a federally chartered national trust bank, in the same batch as Circle, Ripple, Fidelity Digital Assets and Paxos. The August 2026 report (dated Sept 24, 2026) showed about 4.195 billion USD1 in circulation against $4.196 billion in reserves.
